Crawley Town Remain Hopeful Of 'Signing' Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo And Lionel Messi Before Transfer Window Closes

If there is ever a time to be optimistic and chance your luck during the January transfer window then surely now is the time.

So could you really blame League One side Crawley Town for submitting a cheeky last-minute bid for a Real Madrid duo and an Argentinian from Barcelona?

By Stuart Hynd – @supers0nic_

The Sussex-based club are going all out with just over an hour until the window closes and, with desperation creeping in, the Reds have posted a Tweet asking for a helping hand in gaining the signatures of three players you may just recognise…

Yes, with Crawley fans bombarding the club’s official Twitter demanding signings, the media team decided to have some fun of their own as they posted this picture of three Crawley shirts emblazoned with the names Messi, Bale and Ronaldo.

The witty Tweeters captioned the picture: “Paperwork’s done. Helipad ready. Just need three squiggles. Can anyone help with phone numbers? #DeadlineDay”

But would the world-class trio really improve on Crawley’s lowly position of 15th in the league?

Yes we think they probably would.
