David Beckham Is Considering The Name Miami Vice For His New Franchise… Seriously!

David Beckham is bringing a Major League Soccer franchise to Miami – and he’s seriously considering the idea of calling it Miami Vice!

While it may be one of football’s cooler team names, it’s pretty ridiculous from the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and PSG midfielder.

According to The Palm Peach Post‘s Matt Porter, Becks has three names he’s currently mulling over:

“Sources involved with the Beckham group told the Post of three potential identities: Miami Vice, Miami Current and an undisclosed name tied to a corporate sponsor.

“Those are not necessarily the only names the Beckham group is considering. However, those three names were used by the group in its recent presentations to the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County and potential investors.”

We’re as shocked as you are to see Beckham go after a name made famous by the iconic TV crime show from the 1980s.

It’s believed that Miami Vice could wear aqua, black and pink – with the image below thought to be a mock-up of a potential uniform:
