The Sochi Olympic ski piste is infamous for its icy conditions and dangerous track. It is a course where racers get up to speeds of 136 Km/h and American Body Miller admitted that it could “kill you” if you lose your focus. In fact, 10 racers have already crashed on the track and 19 others withdrew from practice runs because of safety concerns.

A lot of people have no idea just how steep the downhill tracks are for downhill skiing. Its something that gets lost on TV to some extent. But thankfully, we have five-time Olympian Graham Bell from the BBC to go down the course with a few cameras for us.
Did I mention that he’s doing so without poles? Yeah, he’s doing it without poles. Just a free hand and a camera in the other.
Insane. Crazy. Nuts. Bonkers.
Consider that the best time for the downhill was 2 minutes, 6.23 seconds and our insane friend Bell did the course in a lightly edited 2:10 time. Again, with no poles, just a camera and he was talking the entire way down.
Austrian Matthias Mayer won the men’s downhill, but he didn’t do it with a camera and delightful commentary so feel free to debate the merit of his victory.
