Luis Suarez To Wear The First Ever Pair Of Knitted Football Boots From Adidas

German manufacturers Adidas are set to link-up with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez next month as they look to bring the first ever football boot made entirely of wool to the Premier League arena.

And we here at Talking Baws can’t help but be impressed by the knitted number:

Suarez will don the boots against Manchester United next month and will also wear them when he appears for Uruguay at the summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

Markus Baumann, senior VP for global football at Adidas, said: “Every Adidas product is developed with the player in mind and in particular, the needs of the player.

“By producing the world’s first knitted football boot we have provided a brand new solution to the search for higher levels of comfort and flexibility.

“Primeknit is a further demonstration of our commitment to driving relentless innovation in football and is designed to allow for a bespoke fit for each player, making performance more intuitive and responsive than ever before.”

The boots are also expected to be worn by Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and Barcelona hero Lionel Messi.

You can purchase a pair for a whopping £250 next month.
