Lukas Podolski Reveals New Boots In Support Of Injured Retired Racing Driver Michael Schumacher

We find ourselves becoming quite fond of Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.

The 28-year-old has proven himself to be a stand-out character in the Gunners dressing room, following a hilarious Twitter Q&A and some bizarre wrapping skills of the Christmas period.

And it looks like the German international was it again today as he posted a picture of support for retired racing driver and fellow countryman, Michael Schumacher.

Schumacher, who was involved in a skiing accident back in December and remains in an induced coma, is understood to be getting healthier by the day but that hasn’t stopped Podolski from making a goodwill gesture to his fallen comrade.

Podolski posted his heart-warming message on Instagram, where he revealed the new boots he is set to wear during Arsenal’s midweek Premier League clash with Manchester United on Wednesday:

It really was a kind gesture from Podolski and one that reminds us all that a bit of class costs nothing.
