It’s no secret that Manchester United and England‘s Tom Cleverley has given a few below-par performances this season, but it seems fans have now had enough, with one supporter starting an online petition to sensationally ban the midfielder from international football.
And the request has already received 4,000 official signatures from disgruntled punters.

The news of the petition comes after Roy Hodgson announced his England squad to play Denmark next week, and it seems the inclusion of Cleverley has riled a particular fan.
Glenn McConnell, the mastermind behind the suggested Cleverley-boycott on change.org, said: “Tom Cleverley, owner of 13 England caps… has been regularly selected by Roy Hodgson in his squads without possessing any genuine qualities whatsoever.”
McConnell, from Blackpool, added: “We believe for the reputation of this proud footballing nation that he should be prevented from participating in this summer’s international showcase.
“Whilst England are considered to disappoint at major tournaments, further embarrassment could be avoided by not having his inept performances undermine the rest of the team’s efforts.”
Nothing quite like a pat on the back for your efforts, eh Tom!
