The quarter-finals of the Ski Cross in today’s action at Sochi provided what is possibly the greatest photo-finish in any sport ever.
Russia’s Egor Korotkov, Sweden’s Victor Oehling Norberg, and Finland’s Jouni Pellinen were all neck and neck as they took the final jump, however, all three crashed into each other as they approached the finish, slowly sliding towards the line.

Photo evidence was needed in the end to seperate Korotkov, Norberg and Pellinen and it was the Russian who advanced to the next round in an extremely cool way …
It’s not known whether Korotkov meant to throw his arms out the way he did as a stroke of genius or if he was just completely lucky but either way it’s a pretty fun way to book your place in an Olympic semi-final.
