Wayne Rooney Turns To Prayer After Manchester United's Latest Defeat To Stoke

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney doesn’t immediately spring to mind when you think of the most religious people in the game.

But the England striker appears to have turned to God for help following United’s eighth Premier League defeat of the season at Stoke on Saturday.

David Moyes’ side slumped to yet another loss at the Britania Stadium as their grip on the coveted Champions League fourth spot continues to slip.

And by the looks of things Rooney is hoping for some sort of divine intervention to help turn the Old Trafford side’s fortunes around.

In a bizarre post, the Red Devils’ hitman tweeted God TV at 2am with the message: “I’m watching and feel you. Much love.” The tweet was deleted shortly after but Talking Baws have managed to get our hands on it just for you.

We’re not sure if the big man above can do much to help Rooney and his faultering team-mates. Perhaps miracles take longer.
