Alan Pardew Sent To The Stands For Headbutting Hull City’s David Meyler

As we wake up tomorrow morning the headlines on the back of our papers will be from the KC stadium where Hull City took on Newcastle – but for all the wrong reasons.

Newcastle took the spoils as they won 4-1 on the day, but unfortunately the game will be solely remembered as the game where Alan Pardew head butted a player.

As David Meyler ran to the sideline to collect the ball for a throw-in, he seemed to push Pardew who was in his way only for the United boss to respond by pushing his head towards the Irish midfielder.

The 52 year-old has always been a controversial figure with too much to say at times but this incident is just a step too far and Pardew is sure to have the book flung at him.

Who knows, perhaps he was just trying to impress potential owner Vince McMahon by showing him his wrestling skills.

Update:

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has stated “he massively regrets” the incident which occurred during the match at Hull today and claims he will now be sitting down at future games.

Pardew claimed it was a heat of the moment thing and he didn’t mean to do anything aggressive although he does admit sticking his head forward in a head-butt movement.
