Anthony Vanden Borre Performs Exceptional Andrei-Kanchelskis-Ball-Stand Trick For Anderlecht

Anthony Vanden Borre failed to set pulses racing during his brief loan spell at Portsmouth in 2009, but the Belgian produced a sublime piece of skill during Anderlecht‘s win against Oostende at the weekend.

The 26-year-old miraculously stood on the ball and baited the opposition – bringing back images of Russian winger Andrei Kanchelskis, who performed the original trick 13 years ago.

Ex-Rangers, Manchester United and Everton player Andrei Kanchelskis stood on the ball in a Scottish Cup semi-final in 2001, and although Vanden Borre’s balance is faultless, his salute could certainly do with some work:

Despite the Belgian’s failure to salute his opponent, Vanden Borre managed to pass the ball to a team-mate and keep possession brilliantly.
