Antonio Valencia Or Rocky Balboa? Manchester United Winger’s Horrific Eye Injury Vs Olympiakos

For many Manchester United fans, Antonio Valencia symbolises the strength, desire and never-say-die tradition of the Premier League champions.

But in tonight’s Champions League tie against Olympiakos, Valencia is sporting a Rocky Balboa-esque swollen eye that has left the commentary team questioning whether the Ecuador international can even see the action taking place around him.

The energetic winger was involved in an early clash of heads with Olympiakos’ on-loan from Arsenal winger Joel Campbell, and the United man has been left with a massive lump around his eye.

If Valencia completes the match in his current state he may be the first footballer in Champions League history to complete 90 minutes with 50% vision:

Then again, we can’t imagine any Olympiakos defender would be brave enough to tackle a fully fit Antonion Valencia, never mind a seriously injured one.
