Welcome to the part of the website where I, Connor Boylan, take you back to some of those vintage sporting moments.

The dramatic climax to the Hoops’ 2007 title persuit would see dead-ball specialist Nakamura curl an injury-time free-kick in to the far corner of Kilmarnock goalkeeper Alan Combe’s net – right in front of the travelling Parkhead support.
Gordon Strachan’s side had their title party put on hold for a number of weeks as results went against them but this stroke of genius from Nakamura confirmed the inevitable as they went on to seal the championship with four games to go.
And here it is again:
What’s particularly special about the finish was the fact that it left the Killie keeper absolutely stranded as he had expected Nakamura to be aiming for the other corner. And to deliver on such a pressure-filled stage in front of the Celtic support took some serious composure.
The man from Japan was renowned for free-kick expertise during his time and Celtic Park, and this all-important finish may just have been his most important of all… Oops, almost forgot the one which beat Manchester United’s Edwin van der Sar to send the Scottish champions through to the last-16 of the Champions League.
How silly of me?
A win for Celtic tonight against Partick Thistle at Firlhill will see them clinch their third successive league title under Neil Lennon. But something tells me, it won’t be as dramatic as this one.
