David de Gea’s Magnificent Double Save Keeps Manchester United’s Champions League Dream Alive

The pressure is on David MoyesManchester United side tonight as they desperately try to overcome a 2-0 deficit in the 2nd leg of their Champions League tie with Olympiakos.

And United’s goalkeeper, David de Gea, may have just spared his manager further blushes with a world class double save to deny their opponents a crucial third goal.

Dutch striker Robin Van Persie may have eased the tension in Old Trafford with his 25th minute penalty and a well placed effort just before half-time, but it was 23-year-old keeper de Gea who kept United in the tie with this fantastic double save:

United were of course battered 3-0 by Liverpool at the weekend, but United fans will see this magnificent piece of goalkeeping as a sign that fortunes could be about to change at Old Trafford.
