Film About The Worst Team In International Football Looks Oscar-Worthy Judging By This Trailer

Football films are a dangerous game – just ask those behind the Goal ‘franchise’.

But it seems Agile Films and Archer’s Mark Production movie Next Goal Wins could be different.

The film centres around the American Samoa, who are dubbed the worst team in international football after losing 31-0 to Australia in 2001.

They bring in former USA Under-20s boss Thomas Rongen – who also had spells with Ajax and several other MLS sides – in an attempt to change fortunes and it looks awesome:

It’s due out in April and we can’t wait to see it hit the big screen.
