Millwall fans have been left outraged ahead of tomorrow’s game at Leeds as, instead of being given tickets for the match, they have been given vouchers in which they will need to swap with the police to gain valid entry.
As if being charged £34 for a Championship match wasn’t bad enough, Lions’ fans will have to meet police at a service station 15 miles away from Elland Road to get their official ticket.
In a statement on their website, Millwall said, “The one area where we have yet to make the desired progress is in regard to the voucher system which remains in place.
“Regrettably, those travelling to the game to follow Ian Holloway’s men will again be required to exchange a voucher for their ticket at Woolley Edge services on the M1 before travelling on to Elland Road.
“Millwall Football Club will continue to negotiate for a return to normal ticketing arrangements going forward, and hopefully another incident free match on March 22 will help further our cause.”
