Sir Alex Ferguson Turns Up At The Oscars… Was Ashley Young Up For An Award?

Sir Alex Ferguson made a surprise appearance at Sunday’s 86th Academy Awards where 12 Years A Slave scooped the top award for Best Film.

The former Manchester United boss caught up with the BBC post-Oscars, praising all the award winners and revealing that he had his eyes on a meeting with Hollywood veteran Daniel Day-Lewis:

At first, we thought Ashley Young may have been up for best actor after a number of great dives during Fergie’s United career.

But it seems he was just making the most of all that time he has on his hands after retirement.
