Sports Reporter Paul Cicala Faceplants On Live TV During Preview For Wildcats Vs Buffaloes

Paul Cicala derailed from the age-old routine of previewing a game from outside an arena on Friday, but his ingenious idea to run into the MGM Grand in Las Vegas live on air failed miserably when he hilariously faceplanted.

Cicala was running to make sure he didn’t miss tip-off, but was left brushing himself off after his comical tumble.

Cicala was previewing the Arizona Wildcats game against the Colorado Buffaloes when his fall was broadcast live on-air.

“The game tips-off in about three minutes and I have to speedwalk,” Cicala explained.

The reporter then added: “I’m going to sign off now because I want to get there by the time everything tips off.”

The rest is comedy gold:

Cicala, ever the good sport, would later Tweet that his fall was “good for some laughs”:

The Wildcats 63-43
