
Victor Valdes was hit with a hammer blow tonight as he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Barcelona‘s win over Celta Vigo.
The Barca goalkeeper will now miss the rest of the season, as well as the World Cup with Spain.
But, more importantly, the stopper is into the final months of his contract at the Nou Camp and he may find it difficult to find a club while carrying such a devastating injury:

It will almost definitely be his last game for the Catalan club, bringing an end to 14 glorious years at the Spanish giants.
The 32-year-old Spaniard has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool – but those interested clubs may look elsewhere now.
With such a serious injury, we have to ask…
