April is a difficult month for football fans as they are reminded of the terrible events which took place at Hillsborough stadium on April 15th 1989.

And as the disaster leads up to its 25th anniversary the home of horse racing’s biggest event has paid tribute to those Liverpool fans who lost their life.

It was a lovely touch from the Merseyside racecourse and is sure to have touched the hearts of those close-by as well as many across the world.
