Sheffield Wednesday Lead Heartwarming Tributes To Hillsborough With White Seats And Roses

Sheffield Wednesday led the tributes to the 96 people lost at Hillsborough 25 years ago with a heart-warming display during their clash against Blackburn Rovers today.

The club placed red roses on 96 white seats inside their ground ahead of today’s Championship match which kicked off at 3.07pm.

It marks the 25th anniversary of the day 96 supporters lost their lives during the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Wednesday’s Hillsborough stadium.

The tribute was paid in the front row of the West Stand lower tier.

Wednesday produced a late comeback to draw 3-3 with Blackburn after Rovers had led 3-1 at half-time.
