A football viewing centre at Agwan Rukubu, Jos, in Nigeria was the target of a suicide bomber on Saturday.
At around 9pm, patrons of the centre were watching the Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid when the bomb went off.
It follows a twin car bombing in the town earlier this week which killed 181 people.
It appears to be an attempt to take hundreds of lives during a busy time for the football viewing centre.
According to The Trent, Nigeria’s internet newspaper:
According to Daily Trust, window pane of houses near the scene of the blast shattered as a result of the impact of the blast. Eye-witnesses report that blast killed the bomber before he got to the viewing centre.
The spokesperson of the Police State Command of the Nigeria Police, Felicia Ali, confirmed the incident but said details were still sketchy.
Reports say emergency responders were being cautious of approaching the scene of the latest explosion for fear that another bomb might be planted nearby.
It’s understood there were no casualties other than the suicide bomber.
