Cristiano Ronaldo takes a lot of criticism for his sometimes selfish approach to playing football.
But that’s simply an example of him not meeting the high standards he’s set personally and for the team.
You can guarantee off the field that he’s very different to the moody attacker.
If he’s not paying for the medical treatment of sick young boys or pleading with countries not to deport pitch invaders, he’s going out of his way to make sure the experience of meeting the world’s best player is a good one.
And his latest example of that came before Portugal’s 2-1 win over Ghana in their final World Cup group match.
The Madrid superstar is seen hugging a number of the official mascots before patting a few lucky heads:
Top marks, Cristiano. You might moan, but we can’t fault your personality off the pitch.
