There’s nothing quite like the excitement that goes with your team launching a new kit.

Or so we thought.

With the new season almost upon us, Ayr United decided to take a different approach to drum up some support for their new shirt.

But it seems they may have misunderstood the term “football strip”.

Instead of having the usual squad members model the kit in a photoshoot, the Scottish League One side opted to paint a replica strip on a topless girl.

GENIUS!

Tattooed babe Ellis Cooper, wearing nothing but a black pair of knickers, has now attracted a lot of attention to the strip on social media.

Although Ayr United may not be world-beaters any time soon, this ploy to gain some publicity ahead of the 2014/15 season has worked a treat.

And the strip isn’t bad either.
