There are many things to take into account when playing against 6ft 11in Ivo Karlovic.

Not only does the obscenely tall Croatian a threat from his serve, he packs plenty of power behind his forehand and can’t be lobbed easy.

But failing to combat any of those in their Colombian Open clash in Bogota yesterday, Israel’s Dudi Sela did at least deal with the difficult task of hugging his opponent at the end of the match.

After seeing his return hit the net to give Karlovic a 7-6 7-6 win, Sela raced to the back of the court, grabbed a chair and headed straight for the big man at the net:
