Germany were back to their dominant and unfaltering last night, as they steamrolled hosts Brazil, knocking them out of the World Cup with a 7-1 victory.

So, what better way to celebrate Germany’s success, than to listen to this hilarious mock-up video inspired by the Manic Street Preachers’ classic, Motorcycle Emptiness.

The spoof song is titled ‘Mertesacker Emptiness’, with all of the song’s original lyrics replaced by the names of German footballers.

Players involved include, of course Per Mertesacker, along with Michael Ballack, Jurgen Klinsmann and Franz Beckenbauer.
