PIC: Partizan Belgrade Reveal Anti-Semitic ‘Only Jews And Pussies’ Banner During Tottenham Match

Tottenham‘s goalless Europa League draw with Partizan Belgrade was tainted with controversy last night, after an anti-Semitic banner was unveiled by the Serbian side’s supporters.

The banner which read, ‘Only Jews and Pussies’ was a clear allusion to popular British TV show, Only Fools and Horses.

Tottenham have a strong Jewish tradition and are expected to make an official complaint to UEFA after manager Mauricio Pochettino condemned the incident as ‘unacceptable’ and ‘disrespectful’.

According to the Daily Mail, UEFA delegates who attended the match were informed of the offensive banner before half-time but no action was taken to remove it.

Pochettino said: “I didn’t see (it) but the club is aware. It is very disrespectful. It is a shame as it was a great atmosphere. It is very disrespectful, unacceptable and a massive problem for us.”

UEFA are likely to come down hard on the Serbian outfit.

Partizan were kicked out of the competition in 2007 after their fans rioted following a match with Zrinjski Mostar.
