After bagging a set-piece hat-trick tonight, which included two unbelievable free kicks, John Guidetti has claimed that he would love to take on Rangers stating that they would “go down” if the old rivals met each other in the semi-final.
The Swede brought the ultimate horror upon Partick Thistle days before Halloween as he helped his side to a 6-0 victory and has now said he would love to face Ally McCoist’s men in the semi-finals.
When asked by a reporter: “Would you like to sink your teeth into Rangers in the next round?” the hat-trick hero replied:
“Of course it would be a fantastic game to be a part of.
“Come Hampden Park, 11 people standing in front of us, they are going down. Hampen Park will be amazing, no matter who we play.
“We all know it is a special game. This is a game I woke up at 11:30am when I was a small kid to watch. You can feel the atmosphere through the television.
“Whoever our opponents are next, they have to understand that they are going down. That’s just the way it is.”
The excitement is sure to build up until Saturday’s semi-final draw is made at 5pm.
