Dallas Cowboys Cut First Openly Gay NFL Player Michael Sam

Michael Sam suffered his second setback of the season after being cut by the Dallas Cowboys.

It comes after he was first drafted by the St. Louis Rams before putting in some impressive pre-season performances.

He was waived by the Rams before being picked up by the Cowboys but he suffered the same fate there after failing to make an appearance for Jason Garrett’s team.

With Sam’s NFL future up in the air, he took to Twitter to thank the Cowboys despite the disappointment of leaving the organisation:

What’s your thoughts on Sam’s future? Does he still have an NFL career?
