West Brom Twitter Account Apologises After Hilarious Tweet Mocking Marouane Fellaini Causes Outrage

The West Brom Twitter account was forced to apologise last night after sending a tweet poking fun at Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Red Devils fans reacted angrily to the following tweet from the Hawthorns social media team during the Monday Night Football clash which ended in a 2-2 draw:

It’s pretty funny, right? Even more hilarious when you consider Fellaini climbed off the bench to hit a stunning equaliser for United in the second-half.

Yet some didn’t see it that way and a tweet was then sent from the account a few hours later saying sorry for causing such outrage:

Can anyone else sense the sarcasm?
