Arsene Wenger has criticised goal-line officials after Anderlecht were wrongly awarded a goal against his side in midweek.
The Arsenal boss was speaking after seeing Anthony Vanden Borre hit the Belgian’s first of a three-goal comeback in the 3-3 draw – despite being at least two yards offside.
It’s led Wenger to question the role of the officials.
And he believes they should be given a seat and a good book to entertain themselves as they do nothing to help the game.
He said: “I do not know what the guys behind the line are paid for.
“That is a general feeling shared by everyone who watches football.
“They should buy a seat for them, and give them a good book!”
