Batman Set To Sue Valencia C.F.

Reports from Spanish news website Plaza Deportiva suggest that DC Comics have stepped in to block Valencia CF’s attempt to register a variation of their traditional bat logo due to its similarity to their own Batman symbol.

It seems a complaint has been filed with the OHIC – the European Union’s trademark registration body, regarding a new style of Los Che’s logo.

The US-based comic book giant may not have a wing to fly with in the case, as Valencia’s bat symbol has been worn since 1919. That’s 20 years previous to Batman even being created.
