Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Garnett Has Bold Aspirations To Purchase Minnesota Timberwolves

Current Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett has plans to purchase his former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, once his playing days are over.

“I want to buy the Timberwolves,” he said. “Put a group together and perhaps someday try to buy the team. That’s what I want.”

Garnett was drafted 5th overall by the Timberwolves in 1995 and played 12 seasons with Minnesota.

Flip Saunders, the current Minnesota Timberwolves coach and president of basketball operations, is a minority owner of the team and has relations with Garnett.

Garnett told Yahoo! Sports: “I have ties there. Flip’s there.”

Will Kevin Garnett be the next owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves?
