GIF: Wesley Sneijder Hasn’t Lost It Quite Yet, Dutchman Scored This Long-Range Rasper In 3-2 Loss To Mexico

Back in 2010, Wesley Sneijder was one of the most fearsome midfielders in the game.

He had just won the Champions League, the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia with Inter Milan and looked simply unplayable in his number 10 role.

Four years later and the Dutch international, as you’d expect, isn’t quite at the top of the game anymore, in fact, now he plays his football for Galatasaray in Turkey.

But that doesn’t mean the former Real Madrid midfielder has lost any of his spark, not quite yet, as he showed with this sensational long-rang volley against Mexico last night:

Sneijder was part of the Netherlands squad for the friendly against El Trio but despite his wonder-strike in the first-half, Gus Hiddink’s men couldn’t hold on to the lead.

Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela scored a double in a shocking 3-2 win for Mexico.

The result piles even more pressure on Hiddink.
