LeBron James: I Won’t Let My Sons Play Football… Only Basketball And Baseball

The danger of football is a growing debate in the US right now.

Should we let our kids play a sport that encourages you to hit your opponent with such a strong impact?

And then there’s the can of worms surrounding concussions in the NFL

One thing’s for sure, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James isn’t willing to take the risk.

In fact he has banned his own sons from playing football, instead allowing them to play basketball, baseball and European football.

James apparently told ESPN’s Chris Broussard:

It’s a weird one, especially considering James used to play football in high school, playing as a wide-receiver.

Is LeBron’s decision because of the dangers of the game?

Or does the former Heat star have other reasons?
