Piers Morgan Attempts To Buy Vincent Kompany For Arsenal On Twitter… He Declines Offer

Arsenal threw away a 3-0 lead to draw with Anderlecht in the Champions League tonight.

Despite their strong first-half performance, the Gunners were defensively woeful and paid for their mistakes as Anderlecht came roaring back into the game.

Nacho Monreal and Mikel Arteta in particular were horrific, leaving many Arsenal fans scratching their heads as how to improve the Emirates side’s ailing defence.

Well, lifelong Gunners fan Piers Morgan has came up with a solution – sign Manchester City centre-back Vincent Kompany.

Too bad the City captain outright rejected Morgan’s plea…

Morgan, as is so often the case when Arsenal churn out a poor performance, took to Twitter after the final whistle to share his disgust with his followers.

But on this occasion he had a plan, that amounted to more than just a hashtag concerning Arsene Wenger’s position at the club.

This time he sought out Belgian international Kompany after the defender celebrated his ex-team’s result:

However, while Kompany admitted Arsenal are a “great club”, he politely declined the offer:

Unfortunately, I fear it will take a lot more than Vincent Kompany to make Arsenal’s defence anywhere near acceptable, Piers.
