Chelsea’s transfer of versatile Juan Cuadrado, is now imminent after the Colombian confirmed his Fiorentina exit via Instagram.
The saga has been ongoing for a while now with The Blues having to move a couple of players on before they meet the asking price for Cuadrado within the boundaries of financial fair play.
The deal will see Mohamed Salah go in the opposite direction on a six month loan deal to Fiorentina, with Chelsea covering all his wages for that period. Andre Schurle underwent a medical with Wolfsburg yesterday with only a few boxes to be ticked before that deal is also finalised.
We broke the news yesterday that Cuadrado had said farewell to his La Viola teammates. All we wait for now is confirmation from Chelsea that they’ve got their man.
But Cuadrado’s emotional post to Fiorentina and their fans more or less confirms the moves is over the line:
‘Florence will always remain in my heart.
La viola was the team that launched me and gave me the opportunity to grow and thanks to a big driven society and exceptional friends.
I now expect a new road.New emotions. New targets.
But Florence will always be in my heart!
Thanks To All
