Cardale Jones has announced he will return to school just days after leading Ohio State to college football’s National Championship.
The Buckeyes quarterback only came into Urban Meyer’s team for the Big Ten Championship game against the Wisconsin Badgers a month ago.
But he went on to lead them to a 59-0 win before winning his second start 42-35 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl against Alabama.
That set up Monday’s clash with Ohio State at the Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium and he was instrumental as the Buckeyes beat Marcus Mariota’s Oregon Ducks 42-20.
Sophomore Jones announced on Twitter today that fans could expect a life-changing decision at 4pm today.
And that life-changing decision is that he will be playing college football next season.
He said:
“I’m going to return next year for school.
“You’ve got to think putting your long-term future in jeopardy.”

Cardale Jones: "I don't know why you guys made this such a big deal." (Um, Cardale, YOU made it a big deal.)
