Raw Reviewed: WWE Didn’t Disappoint Ahead of Rumble PPV

We were all hoping for a great show this week with it being less than a week away from the Royal Rumble PPV.

But as well as that, it was a Raw Reunion episode with some of the best the business has ever seen making their return.

And WWE didn’t disappoint.

Opening Segment

Triple H kicked things off by giving the WWE Universe the choice to have John Cena fight on Raw by a vote on the WWE App. If he won then Rowan, Ryback and Ziggler would get their jobs back. if he lost, he’s out of the triple threat match for the Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble PPV against Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. It was later revealed that 85% of the fans wanted him to fight and that Cena would face Rollins, Kane and Big Show in a 3-on-1 match in the main event.

Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt

What a match this was! It had loads of entertainment as well as a high tempo – which is right up my street. I’m so glad Bryan is back and he’s looking in great shape ahead of the Rumble match this Sunday.Wyatt also looked good, as he always does. But he’s still underestimated if you ask me and doesn’t get the recognition he deserves as an in-ring performer as well as his amazing mic work.

Legends Panel

To have these three icons in the ring at the same time talking about their predictions for the Royal Rumble PPV was pretty epic, and thought it was fun. I always welcome guys like that back. They paved the way for future stars, Brother!

Raw Reunion

It was awesome to see the NWO, New Age Outlaws and the APA on Raw Reunion kicking The Ascencion’s butt. It was later announced that The New Age Outlaws will face The Ascencion at the Royal Rumble PPV.

Lesnar Confronts Rollins

It was getting all heated backstage between champion Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. Brock promised he would get him, especially after all the incidents these past couple of weeks with Rollins having the upper hand heading into Sunday.

Sting On Raw In Dallas?

At this point of the show, speculation of Sting being in the building was at fever pitch. With the impact he made at Survivor Series you couldn’t help but wonder – will Sting help Cena bring back the rest of his team?

Sting’s music hit and the Dallas crowd went crazy. He stated his intent as he pointed directly at Triple H. That distracted Rollins and Cena picked up the win, getting Rowan, Ryback and Ziggler their jobs back. Cue a very mad Triple H.

Lesnar Attacks Authority

Just when you thought we had seen it all with Sting, Heavyweight Champ Lesnar came out wanting to fight Rollins, taking out Big Show and Kane with two F-5s while Mr Money In The Bank Seth Rollins ran away up the ramp like a little girl. That ended the show with Lesnar having all the momentum heading into Sunday’s Royal Rumble PPV.
