Rio Ferdinand Tells Manchester United to Go After Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin

Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester United should sign Atletico Madrid‘s Diego Godin if they are looking to strengthen in defence over the transfer window.

The QPR defender left Old Trafford in the summer alongside former centre-back partner Nemanja Vidic and United have been unable to properly replace them.

So if Louis van Gaal is on the lookout for a central defender over January, Ferdinand believes Godin is the right man.

He placed his support behind the Uruguayan defender while he starred in Ateltico’s draw with Real Madrid last night.

Ferdinand tweeted:

United fans – would you welcome Godin at Old Trafford? Join the discussion in the comments below.
