VIDEO: Well This Is Awkward! Kansas City State Kicker Tries To Replicate Erik Lamela’s Rabona Kick

When Tottenham’s Erik Lamela scored an outrageous rabona goal against Asteras Tripoli in the Europa League earlier this season, people stood up and took notice.

The fact the Argentine not only had the cojones to attempt the trick but also had the skill to pull it off, made Lamela an instant social media celebrity.

And it would appear footage of his goal has now made it across the pond and all the way to Kansas City State.

On Friday, KCS kicker Matthew McCrane tried to use the rabona kick to try to get the ball back.

Unfortunatley for Kansas, it didn’t quite work out that way.

In fact, it was downright awkward because UCLA easily recovered the ball:
