Moving swiftly on from last week’s terrible selections that saw a continuation of cup shocks, I have found some value in reliable teams.

Arsenal to Beat Crystal Palace – 4/5
Arsenal travel to south London to take on Crystal Palace who have been turning out some up and down performances under Alan Pardew. The bookies have this fixture as a tough test for the Gunners but I can’t see it being overly taxing for them. The reason is simple quality and the importance of picking three points to cement their position in the top four. Theo Walcott also has a great record for scoring against Palace with seven in his last seven against them. I’m going for a straight Arsenal win on my coupon but bear Walcott’s record in mind if looking for first or anytime scorers.
Walcott first/any time goal scorer 7/1 – 23/10
Man Utd to beat Swansea – Evens
It could be argued that Manchester Utd haven’t exactly been reliable this season, but I don’t agree – Van Gaal’s men have only lost one game in their last 19. What I will agree on is that they haven’t been impressive in that run. Then again, neither have Swansea. Gary Monk’s men are struggling to find the net, and if that problem persists today, I can’t see them beating United. Odds of evens on the Red Devils with Betfair is enough to convince me to put my money on them. I don’t care how they do it as long as they get it done.
Arbroath to beat Annan – 13/10
My last selection is from League Two in Scotland and it’s high-flying Arbroath to beat fellow promotion chasers Anna. Having seen them play against Clyde, Allan Moore’s men play football the right way and if they can repeat that against Annan, a price of 13/10 is going to look large at 5pm this evening.
