Yesterday was a busier than expected transfer deadline day over at Ibrox, which saw five loan signings come in from Newcastle United ’til the end of the season.
Kevin Mbabu, Haris Vuckic, Remie Streete, Shane Ferguson and Gael Bigirimana have joined #Rangers from @NUFC until the end of the season.

From the outside it seems Mike Ashley is trying to win over the Gers faithful as the power struggle in the Ibrox boardroom continues, with the Newcastle United owner jostling for control.
In this day and age fans are quick to keep an eye on who players follow and unfollow on social networks and the Rangers faithful were quick to notice that new loan signing Remie Streete had not only followed Rangers official Twitter account but also ‘Rangers First.’
Rangers First are one of two fan groups looking for a controlling shareholding in the club to safeguard its future from businessmen such as Ashley who recently loaned £10 million to the cash-strapped club which was secured against major assets.
They have recently passed the 7000 member mark- a figure which may worry Newcastle owner, Ashley, who may see his grip loosen at the upcoming EGM, to be confirmed on Friday.

Streetes’ following of Rangers First certainly got the fans on his side but he has since unfollowed.
Maybe a word in his ear from the man who pays his wages…
