Mario Balotelli – ‘We’ll Do Everything To Get Stevie To Wembley’

Mario Balotelli celebrated Liverpool reaching the quarter finals of the FA Cup then told the Reds faithful, ‘we’re doing it for Stevie.’

The Italian enigma helped cap off a brilliant week for himself and his Liverpool teammates as the Anfield club battled back from one goal down to defeat Crystal Palace and progress to the last eight of England’s most prestigious cup competition.

Fraser Campbell opened the scoring for the home side on the 15th minute. Daniel Sturridge hit back to equalise shortly after the break, and Adam Lallana struck not long afterwards to give Liverpool the lead, which would prove to be enough to see them through.

Balotelli wasted no time in posting his delight on Instagram and made no bones that the players will do whatever it takes to give captain and club legend, Gerarrd, the last hurrah he deserves.

The Liverpool and England captain has signed a pre-contract to join LA Galaxy in the summer but it seems his teammates won’t let anything get in the way of Gerrard leaving on a blaze of glory.
