PIC: Wigan Athletic Were So Boring Last Night This Young Fan Gave Up And Tuned Into The Champions League On His Phone

It can’t be easy being a Wigan Athletic fan at the moment.

Your squad is the weakest it’s been for over a decade.

You’ve had more managers this season than wins at the DW stadium.

And the club is currently sitting second bottom of the Championship.

In fact it’s so bad, one Wigan fan who attended last night’s 1-0 loss against Cardiff City totally gave up on watching his team flounder and tuned into the Champions League tie between Barcelona and Manchester City.

Eurosport reported that one fan said:

As bad as performances have been under [Malky] Mackay this season it was a surprise to see the lengths this lad went to avoid watching.

Though by the end of the 90 minutes a small crowd had amassed behind to join him.

In fairness we can’t blame him.

After all what would you rather watch, a front three of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez or Marc-Antoine Fortuné, James McClean and Martyn Waghorn?
