Sheffield Wednesday Supporter Banned For Three Years For Throwing Tangerine At Fulham Fan

A Sheffield Wednesday fan has been banned from attending football matches for three years – after he threw a tangerine at a Fulham supporter during a game.

Mark Ablett, 29, threw the fruit while the Owls were trailing Fulham 4-0 in their Championship clash just before Christmas.

He was then removed from Craven Cottage by stewards after being caught on CCTV throwing the “missile”.

“I may have been stupid and thrown a tangerine or something,” he confessed.

Ablett – who works as a charity financial officer – was banned for three years and fined £360 after being found guilty of the crime at Hammersmith Magistrates court.
