Celtic will desperately be hoping to keep a hold of their star defender Virgil Van Dijk beyond today’s 11pm transfer deadline.

Several club’s have been linked with the Dutchman following an impressive run of performances for the Scottish champions and his stock will only rise in the future.

Van Dijk is also a solid fan favourite at Celtic Park – a status he strengthened yesterday by dominating Rangers midfielder Nicky Clark during the Old Firm game at Hampden

And when we say dominate, we mean Van Dijk threw him around like a wet tracksuit:
