Martin Skrtel is facing a three-game suspension after being charged with violent conduct by the FA for his alleged stamp on David de Gea.
The incident happened towards the end of Sunday’s clash at Anfield which saw Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-1.
He wasn’t punished at the time for it, but has been retrospectively sanctioned by the governing body.
Skrtel has denied the charge – and has now taken to Instagram to post a picture of clowns.
The Slovakian defender hasn’t included a caption with the image and it’s believed the post could have been an attack on the FA:
Skrtel could miss vital league clashes against Arsenal and Newcastle in April as well as the FA Cup sixth round tie with Blackburn.
