Palermo look set to cash in on 21-year-old striker Paulo Dybala this summer and the youngster has now given the biggest hint yet as to which club he would like to join.
Club president Maurizio Zamparini has said the player’s head has been turned by intense transfer speculation, meaning Palermo will probably look to sell their brightest talent to the highest bidder.
Dybala is rated at around £30 million by his Serie A club, and the Argentine has now admitted that if Barcelona match that fee, he would happily swim across the Mediterranean to join up with Luis Enrique’s side.
Dybala told Argentinan radio station, Radio Belgrano:
I would swim to Barcelona, it’s only just across the Mediterranean after all.
Enrique may jump at the chance to sign the youngster, with Dybala having scored 12 goals in Serie A so far this season.
However, it’s difficult to see where the striker would fit in, with Barcelona boasting one of the most star-studded attacking lines in the game.
