Stuart McCall has given high praise to on loan Slovenian Haris Vuckic and compared him to Rangers star of the early 90s Alexei Mikhailichenko.
Vuckic came off the bench today to net a brace for Rangers against Cowdenbeath in the space of just ten minutes.
Manager Stuart McCall didn’t hold back in praise for the dynamic attacker when he spoke to Rangers’ official website:
“I’ve said before he reminds me so much of big Mikhailichenko who I used to play with. He’s very graceful, left footed, technically excellent and can score a goal. He did that.”
Vuckic has now netted five times in nine games for the Gers and club officials may be keen to hold onto him after his loan spell finishes at the end of the season.
His current contract ends with Newcastle in the summer of 2016 and, with Rangers recently cutting ties with Toon owner Mike Ashley, they may find it tough to deal the Slovenian in.
