Manchester United are seemingly desperate to recruit Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, and it’s not hard to see why.

The World Cup-winning German international is a dependable force at the back and has all the leadership qualities that United are clearly lacking.

Oh, and he’s not a bad goalkeeper either.

While it’s unlikely Hummels will replace the increasingly excellent David De Gea at Old Trafford, the centre back showed he is more than capable between the sticks during a Borussia Dortmund training session this week.

With Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang peppering the goal with shots, Hummels does well to stop the Gabon international from finding the net:
